Zafar Bangash is Director of the Institute of Contemporary Islamic Thought (ICIT) and former editor and current contributor to Crescent Magazine. He is the author or co-author of several notable books, including Power Manifestations of the Sirah, which was cited by Eric Walberg on Truth Jihad Radio last week.

During this interview, Zafar explains Islam's commitment to comprehensive justice (which is unfortunately not evident in the behavior of most ruling elites in Islamic countries today). He compares and contrasts Islamic and Western treatment of women by way of the cases of Yvonne Ridley and Aafia Siddiqui; suggests that ordinary Muslims in most parts of the world behave better than their rulers; and explains that the current war on Syria was orchestrated at a meeting in Paris attended by former US Ambassador to Lebanon Jeffrey Feltman, current US Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro, and Saudi intelligence chief and Bush Crime Family lieutenant Bandar Bush. (The same forces that orchestrated 9/11?) Toward the end of the interview, Zafar suggests that al-Qaeda is a "controlled opposition" group run by Saudi and US intelligence, and supports the truth movement's interpretation of 9/11.
